Kodachi OS
Privacy-focused Linux: VPN and Tor routing, encrypted DNS, hardening and a live security dashboard.

About this project
Creator and developer of Kodachi OS, a privacy-focused Linux operating system developed since 2013 and first published as Linux Kodachi. Kodachi brings together VPN and Tor networking, encrypted DNS, system hardening, and a live security dashboard. The current release, Kodachi OS 10, is based on Debian 13. Its web ecosystem includes tools for examining IP exposure, DNS leaks, and browser fingerprinting. Official downloads, documentation, and privacy tools: kodachi.cloud. TechRadar ranked Kodachi first among Linux distributions for privacy and security six years running, 2020 to 2025; ZDNet and Al Jazeera Net (2025) and MakeUseOf (2022) also listed it first. Writes the core Rust stack, signs every release, and leads a community of volunteer moderators, testers and ambassadors.
